What would it look like....
If our first priority was a genuine love for God and if, by the Grace of God, we were committed to a lifestyle of personal spiritual disciplines and consistent spiritual growth....
If we worked with the Holy Spirit to create a church where we really cared about each other and where trust, affirmation, encouragement and community are evident in a “family” atmosphere....
If we understood that all people are eternally valuable to God and because of that, we built genuine relationships with our unchurched friends and openly shared the Good News of Jesus Christ....
If we lived a life of service because we realised that we were created to serve God by serving people; and we did this by discovering, developing and deploying our God-given gifts for the benefit of others....
If we were faithful stewards because we knew that every resource we have (our time, money and abilities) belonged to God and were to be used for the extension of His Kingdom; and if, with the help of the Holy Spirit, we did this joyfully and with a spirit of generosity....
It would look a lot like the Church that Jesus wants to have .... a Church that positively influences people of all ages and walks of life .... that's the church we are becoming with the help of the Holy Spirit!
